About TriGearLab

Best triathlon gear

What is TriGearLab?

We give you detailed information on how to race triathlons and how to choose the right triathlon gear.

But don’t a thousand other triathlon sites do that too?
Well yes and no. As you say there are thousands of triathlon sites out there all giving you advice on training and racing. Which is OK if you’re the average triathlete doing a generic triathlon.

The point is though that you’re not. You’ve thought pretty carefully about which you A race of the season was going to be and all your training and energy is focused on that race. Every triathlon has its own secrets. It’s one of the reasons why doing a race a second time is usually faster than the first – you know how to race it better.

At TriGearLab we focus on giving you detailed and specific information about the gear and triathlons that are going to be the most important to you this year.

Our Mission

Our mission is to help you overcome these nagging doubts of failure and push you to realize your full potential by completing a first triathlon or full Ironman. We are here to show you that you can succeed.

When we started racing the easiest way to research a race was to find a friend who’d done it and ask them. That’s great – but advice can often be generic or specific to their race experience and needs. Alternatively, you can search the internet and find enough about the triathlon. That can be time-consuming and you still then have to put it all together.

At TriGearLab we do all that for you. We talk to lots of triathletes, coaches, and pro triathletes about the gear and training. We search the internet and put everything together in one place. Then we produce a guide that tells you what you need to know.

We Create Great Triathlon Articles

Triathlon is a sport where you can learn by trial and error. You’ll finish but you’ll never be as fast as you could be. 37 years of triathlons have taught us that swimbikerun is very different to swimming, cycling, and running. Techniques, training, skills, and equipment all differ. Knowing the latest tips and techniques this will help you become a better triathlete. Drawing on the experience of other triathletes – both as they describe a part of the journey that you’re both on, and also as they talk about their race experiences.

How to Find Great Triathlon Information?

There are millions of triathletes – more triathlon magazines than I can afford and more websites and blogs than anyone can hope to read and still train. How do you make sense of all this? There are a few approaches that triathletes take. Find some blogs by trial and error and read them. Focus on a couple of the big magazines – 220 Triathlon or Triathlete for example or the major websites – Ironman, Challenge, Active, or Slowtwitch. Alternatively, you can graze by reading what friends tweet, share, and link to.

The problem with all these approaches is that every triathlete has to start from scratch – hoping to find great stuff, forgetting where they found most of it and not getting a steady diet of quality triathlon articles every week.

We bring loads of great triathlon information together in one place so that you can learn more and faster on your road to racing smarter and faster.
